Hop Little Bunnies was created to help parents Create Meaningful play,
without the overwhelm.
Because play doesn’t have to be elaborate to matter.
Created by a Parent Who Understands
Hi! I’m Lauren, a mum of three little ones who wished something like Hop Little Bunnies had existed when I had my second baby in 2023.
When I had a newborn needing my attention for most of the day, I often felt guilty about the lack of attention my eldest received. At the same time, I didn’t always have the mental capacity to plan art activities, set up crafts, or dive into imaginative play.
What I really needed was something simple – a tool that could help me engage my eldest, allow moments of connection with both little ones, and still give me the space to rest when I needed it.
That’s where the idea for Hop Little Bunnies began.
Hop Little Bunnies helps take the thinking out of play – from low-mess, low-energy activities for those days when everyone is sick or you’re adjusting to a new family rhythm, to more immersive play when you have the time and energy for creativity, mess, and a little bit of chaos.
Why Hop Little Bunnies Exists
If you’ve ever searched for activity ideas for your children, you’ve probably found pages of complicated crafts, perfectly styled playrooms, and activities that require a full craft cupboard and hours of preparation.
Real life doesn’t always look like that.
Most parents simply want a way to connect with and entertain their little ones through play – without spending money or time planning it.
Hop Little Bunnies was created to make that easier.

Thoughtful Play, Designed for Real Life
Every activity inside Hop Little Bunnies is designed with real homes, real routines, and real parents in mind.
Some activities are quick and simple, for when you just need 10 minutes to get something done.
Others are more immersive and creative when you have the time.
Activities are designed to support your little ones’ development while keeping play joyful, meaningful, and manageable for parents.
Our Approach to Play
Children learn best through play.
Through movement, creativity, curiosity, and exploration, everyday moments can become powerful opportunities for learning and connection.
Hop Little Bunnies focuses on activities that encourage:
• creativity
• curiosity
• problem solving
• movement
• connection between parent and child
Sometimes the smallest moments together become the most meaningful.
What We Believe About Play
Play is one of the most powerful ways children learn about the world.
Research in early childhood development consistently shows that play supports cognitive, social, emotional, and physical development. Through play, children explore ideas, practise problem solving, build language skills, and develop confidence.
At Hop Little Bunnies, we believe play should feel joyful and manageable for families – not overwhelming.
We believe play doesn’t need to be complicated
Children don’t need elaborate setups to benefit from play. Simple materials and open-ended activities often spark the most creativity and curiosity.
We believe children learn best through exploration
When children are given the space to experiment, create, and imagine, they develop important skills like problem solving, persistence, and independent thinking.
We believe connection matters
Shared play between parents and children helps strengthen relationships and supports emotional development.
We believe play should fit real life
Some days allow for creative, messy activities. Other days call for something quick and simple. Both kinds of play are valuable.
Our approach is informed by research and guidance from early childhood organisations including the Australian Government’s Early Years Learning Framework, the Raising Children Network, and research from the Harvard Center on the Developing Child.
A Simple Idea That Grew
What started as a simple idea during a busy season of family life has grown into Hop Little Bunnies – a place where parents can quickly find thoughtful activity ideas for their little ones.
Some days call for quick, low-prep activities.
Other days leave room for creativity, mess, and imagination.
Hop Little Bunnies is designed to support both.
Because meaningful play doesn’t need to be perfect – it just needs to fit into real life.
